Incoterms and Validity: Two Clauses That Change the Final Price
Especially relevant when imported components are involved.
Quotation validity
Commonly 15 to 90 days. A short validity reduces supplier risk but also shortens your decision window.
Currency clause
State the reference date and the adjustment method, or agree a fixed rate. Without a clause, exchange rate movement may be charged as a variation.
Recommendation
Put both clauses in the contract, not just in the quotation.
